TRANSMISSIONS | FORD | 4R75

In 2003, Ford improved the 4R70W with features like more lugs for the output shaft sensor to read off, a new torque converter, a new front pump assembly, and a vehicle speed sensor. These help improve the shift quality and efficiency. These changes allowed the next model, the 4R75W, to handle more power while being as economical as possible. Any of these series with throttle installed by wire is called a 4R70E or 4R75E. Other modifications of these electronic models include a more powerful microprocessor and a turbine speed sensor.
