What Makes Monster’s 4L60E Different

Every Monster 4L60E is professionally remanufactured for its intended use. We match friction materials, clearances, valve-body strategy, and converter build to your engine, gearing, tire size, and duty cycle—keeping temps in check and shift quality consistent.

Choose the Right Build

RoadReady = stock power & maintenance. StreetMonster = towing/daily with mild tune. SportMonster = heavier vehicles, steeper gears, or moderate power adders. If tuning, tires, or weight increase load, step up one level.

Fitment Notes

Fits many 1993–2000 GM RWD cars & light trucks with the non-LS 298 mm converter and standard small-block/V6 bell pattern: C/K 1500, S-10/Sonoma, Blazer/Jimmy, Tahoe/Suburban, Astro/Safari, Caprice/Impala SS, and 1993–1997 Camaro/Firebird (LT1). Not for LS-based 5.3/6.0 trucks or 1998–2002 LS1 F-body without swap parts.

FAQs: Identification, Install & Coverage

Non-LS vs LS? Non-LS uses a 298 mm converter and the traditional small-block/V6 bell pattern. LS units use a different bell pattern and typically a 300 mm converter. Tell us your year/engine; we’ll build the correct setup.

Electrical & PCM? We configure solenoids/valve-body for your calibration. On 1996–2000 vehicles, perform a crank/PCM relearn after install.

Cooler flush? Always flush/replace the cooler & lines to protect the new unit and warranty.

Converter included? Yes—matched 298 mm converter with each package (options available on SportMonster).

Warranty? Monster coverage plus Extend continues after the Monster term—up to 6 years total. Core return must match a 298 mm non-LS 4L60E.

*Horsepower ratings are guidelines; vehicle weight, tires, gearing, and tuning affect capacity. When in doubt, step up a level.
