Why This Kit Works
The OE grid heater routes ~200 amps through a tiny bolt-and-nut connection inside the intake. Over time, heat and vibration can cause the nut to arc, break loose, and drop into the engine—risking piston, head, and valve damage. This upgrade removes both problematic nuts by fastening directly into the lower busbar with self-locking threads, ensuring a robust electrical path while keeping the stock grid heater’s full heat output.
