  • SportMonster: Handles up to 600 HP. Designed for heavy towing, lifted setups, and mild boost builds.
  • TrackMonster: Built for 700+ HP with billet internals and racing-grade clutch materials — ready for sled pulling or drag racing.

All units are dyno-tested and engineered for long-term durability and consistent performance.

Is the Converter Single or Multi-Clutch?

All of our 68RFE builds include an upgraded heavy-duty torque converter, with features depending on the build level:

  • StreetMonster: Heavy-Duty single-clutch design for improved durability over stock.
  • SportMonster: Triple-disc design with a stamped forged cover — stronger than stock but not billet.
  • TrackMonster: Triple-disc billet cover converter for maximum strength, lockup performance, and resistance to flex under extreme loads.

These converter upgrades provide improved lockup, reduced heat, and greater torque capacity compared to the factory unit — essential for towing, performance, and high-horsepower applications.

Are New Solenoids and Electronics Installed?

Yes — all critical electronics and sensors are either replaced or fully remanufactured during our build process:

  • New or tested solenoid pack
  • Updated internal wiring harness

This ensures precise shifting, consistent pressure control, and full communication with your vehicle’s ECM/TCM.

Does this Transmission Require Tuning After Install?

Yes — proper tuning is essential for the 68RFE to perform correctly and avoid premature wear or failure.

  • Your vehicle’s TCM/ECM must be flashed after installation.
  • Custom line pressure and shift point adjustments are required to match the upgraded build.
  • Refer to our Installation Manual for full tuning instructions.

⚠Without proper tuning, you may experience harsh shifts, flare, or limp mode. We strongly recommend professional calibration.

Does this Transmission include Fluid?

No — fluid must be purchased separately. We offer special discounted prices and even cheaper shipping options when you bundle with our fluid at checkout.

How do I Return my Old Transmission Core?

Returning your core is simple. Once you are ready to return your core, you can initiate the return process in one of two ways:

  • Fill out our Core Return Form (available online) using the button below.
  • Or call our Customer Service Team at 800-708-0087 to schedule your return freight pickup.

Please Note:

  • The customer is responsible for the return shipping cost.
  • A flat-rate fee of $299 will be deducted from your core refund to cover return freight and handling. If Round Trip Shipping is not Prepaid Upfront.
  • The core must be the same model and not cracked or damaged beyond rebuild.
